Another cold day out up at Jurby this time round with snow showers bringing short breaks to the practise sessions.
With the coldness causing trouble in the morning sessions as trust in the tyres were not at its highest as you bank the bike into the corner at top speed.

As the feel of the bike came back to me I managed to qualify 7th in my first centre championship race which i think was a good accomplishment. In the 600 championship i also managed a 7th place on the grid.

16th march 2008!

The long awaiting first meeting of the year just a week after the Spain trip.

Went out for the first 600 practise steady away, took a few laps to get going but still over 15 seconds off the pace and 4 seconds slower than i was on the 400 later on. I spoke to my dad after i returned back to the paddock and explained some one had “stolen” my bike in transit. It felt totally different from the previous week. Maybe the bumpy unsmooth surface of jurby or just me. So i only qualified a miserable 27th.

Spain

1st march till the 8th march.

The tribe set off from the island to head to Spain on the way down the van struck problems, one a tyre blow out and second the fuel tank fell off, trip could not get any worse from that moment on.

Mark left the island on the Saturday afternoon to meet the rest of the troops in Valencia airport. Problems again happened as he was stripped off all his toiletries and hair gel were taken off him in customs so no pulling was on the cards for that week. He was a little wary of this trip as he had never travelled alone before. As he arrived at the Suites hotel in Knowsley he met the girl of his "dreams" as Peter Tyre was later to find out to try making this happen for the shy lad.
At the early hours of the morning mark could not sleep as he was very excited about jumping on board his new Yamaha r6. He finally decided to rise up by room service calling for about a good 15 minutes.
